You can expect a lot of similarities with the original 2002 film, but some characters have been dropped and the plot is much tighter as a result. But it's about as far from earnest as it gets, since the action takes place against a backdrop of the two female leads fighting for the attentions of their male football coach. This fascinatingly funny story also challenges sexism, homophobia and the role of women in society. It's much more than a brilliant comedy drama.
